Uniting fans across continents

The Beginning

The story of Across the Pond Sports Network starts with James Scott, an ardent American sports aficionado since the early '90s. His fascination began with the iconic Dream Team's gold medal victory at the Olympics, and his heart found a home with the Utah Jazz and the Dallas Cowboys. An unforgettable baseball experience with the Oakland A's ignited his love for American sports even further.

In the midst of a pandemic, inspiration struck - why not create a podcast to share his passion? What started as a single podcast soon snowballed into a passion project. James' collaboration with Joe Sylvester and connections like Katie Brinkley led to the inception of an exciting journey.

From Podcast to network

With every episode, our love for podcasting deepened. As we ventured into the world of NBA and NFL coverage with dedicated hosts Ryan and Katie, we realised the sky was the limit. An idea from Katie sparked a brand-new endeavour - a hockey podcast. But there was a twist; James knew little about hockey. With Katie's guidance and a UK-Denver collaboration, we produced a successful hockey podcast with exceptional guests.

This success fuelled our ambition. Why stop at hockey? The birth of Across the Pond Sports Network was inevitable. By the end of the first year, we had individual podcasts for the NBA, NFL, WNBA, MLB, and Motorsport. The network's flagship show continued to shine with interviews from the sports world.

a growing legacy

As our journey surged forward, new horizons emerged. Motorsport took a front seat with F1 and Indycar coverage. Golf found its place in our lineup, and a passion for the WNBA led us to launch team-specific podcasts for the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces. James' loyalty to the Utah Jazz led to the addition of a Jazz-centric podcast.

But our evolution didn't stop there. The world of MMA joined our roster, while Motorsport expanded to two weekly episodes, now including Indycar coverage. And within the first three years, we're not stopping. A college football show is on the horizon, along with two women's soccer podcasts covering the NWSL and WSL - our first foray beyond US leagues.

Beyond the mic

Beyond the studio, we've been fortunate to attend events like NFL London, WNBA Canada, and All-Star games. Our journeys have taken us to Indycar races in Nashville and Indianapolis, letting us soak in the electrifying atmosphere firsthand.
